Changes to my study program

Imagen
Hi everyone Today I'm going to talk about the changes I want to make to my academic career and the infrastructure of the faculty. I really like my career and studying journalism at the University of Chile, but many things are not my cup of tea, like we don't have enough practical classes like TV, radio or Investigative journalism. We have too many theoretical classes. I like them but it's every year, and I believe, the practical things are more important to be a good journalist. These theoretical classes are important for our formation, but sometimes they are superficial , so we don't learn too much. I think the career could be one year shorter. I think we need to share more with our camarades from cinema to have a more complete formation. The workload is not so difficult, we have a lot of time to do other things, in my case, work a little bit, train and play sports. The infrastructure is good, but it can be better. In winter the FCEI has leaks and the rain gets into th...

Time travel to the past

Hi everyone !! Today I'm going to talk about a trip to the past that I would like to do. I want to travel to Chile in the yar 1970, to be able to observe the city of Santiago. See how has change and observe the political climate before the coup d'etat. Chile in 1970 was a country tha was experiencing a huge change, Salvador Allende was democratically elected, but the the political opposition to his government was tremendous. Allende's government represented socialism, and brought hope to the poor people.  The political climate was intense. Allende marked a period of ideological conflict, the nation was polarized, and this tension was palpable in the streets of Santiago. Allende government implemented significant social reforms, nationalizing industries and focusing on improving education and healthcare, but these changes were met with opposition, both domestically and internationally. The CIA intervened in Chile to sabotage the government. Santiago in 1970 was a city of ...

Hi everyone !! In the near future I want to be an investigative and war journalist, I'm really interested in documentaries and audivisual content.  I would like to document armed conflicts in places like: Ukraine, Yemen, Palestine or Syria. The war  and investigative journalism tries to bring to light burieds problems, allowing the people to know the reality about their governments. Many times places in arms conflicts do not have freedom of speech, sow we need to be able to be the voice of those who cant not speak.  To be an investigative and war journalist I need skills and ethical values like: courage, respect for the live of others, camera handling, sensitivity and abstraction capacity.  Someone who inspires me is David Berian, he was a spanish journalist who was born on agoust 12, 1977, and died during a reportage in Burkina Faso on april 21, 2021, he was assasinated by jihadist. He always work in difficult and dangerous situations.  To be able to repo...
